The Here Maps team hired me on contract through OtterBase to collaborate with the Berkeley office to work on various mapping NDA concepts.
HERE Maps is available in 196 countries and it features include turn-by-turn walking navigation, offline availability, 3D landmarks and indoor venue maps for 90,000 unique buildings in 70+ countries.
I collaborated in presenting ideas with the Desktop version of “Get Directions” on Facebook. This experience gave me personal insight and understanding on how algorithms can make it possible to have fun shared experiences online and in person.
After researching how Facebook works I helped create iOS mobile prototypes in Test Flight that integrated Here’s algorithms for predictive and historical traffic and translated them into visual displays to help people get to their event destinations in the smoothest and safest way possible.
"Here maps is easy to use, very accurate and has the latest updates. The most practical app for navigation."
"The rise of smartphones and connected cars have driven a large potential and actual market for location-based services, and Here, with its rich navigation and mapping data, is one of the biggest players in the space." - Tech Crunch
