Predictive traffic, made visual
iOS Test Flight prototypes translating Here's predictive and historical traffic algorithms into visual displays. Part of the mapping platform later acquired by a German automaker consortium.
Here Maps held powerful predictive and historical traffic data across 196 countries. But turning those algorithms into something that genuinely helps a person reach an event on time is a design problem, not a data one.
Onsite at Here Map's Berkeley office I collaborated with the team on various mapping concepts, I studied how shared 'get directions' experiences work, then built iOS Test Flight prototypes that translated Here's predictive and historical traffic into clear visual displays, routing people to their destinations the smoothest, safest way possible.
The prototypes fed internal A/B usability testing and helped shape Here's mobile direction. Part of the mapping platform later acquired by the Audi, BMW and Daimler automaker consortium.
